Meet Emma who is an Adoptive parent of siblings for a local meet-up for adoptive families, in North Lincolnshire on the 28th May 10.30-2.30pm.

This is a lovely opportunity to catch up and connect with other adopters in your local area, whatever stage of the adoption journey you’re at.

The plan is to meet at Waters’ Edge Country Park and Visitor Centre at 10.30am.

We will then have tea/coffee and cake for the adults and ice-cream for the kids at the Honey Pot café, with views over the Humber Estuary.

Afterwards we will take part in their craft session at around 11.30am which should have a variety of activities to interest different ages! Refreshments will be funded by the National Lottery.

Hot drinks, cakes, ice-cream, and the craft activity will be free and paid for with funding from the National Lottery.

This event is open to both AdoptionUK members and Adopters who are non-members.

After this we welcome families to bring a pack-up to enjoy at Waters’ Edge Country Park before taking their Scavenger Hunt at around 1pm along the path of the South Bank.

The route is about a mile long and will take about half an hour in one direction at a gentle walking pace. We’ll enjoy the scenery as it takes us to Far Ings Nature Reserve.

There is a wide, flat path that is great for prams, bikes and scooters.

The idea is that you can join for as much or as little of the walk to suit your family, as your child naps or for them to burn off some of their energy before heading home.
