Who is it for?

For adults and birth parents affected by adoption prior to 1976.

What does it involve?

  1. Initial consultation with a psychologist, psychotherapist, or therapeutic practitioner.
  2. Individual therapeutic support with a psychologist, psychotherapist, or therapeutic practitioner.
  3. Individual support from a peer support partner (PSP) (adopted persons only)

How long does it take?

This programme is tailored to individual needs and so the duration may vary.

How can I access it?

Social worker referrals or St David's Adoption Service (Wales)

Funding for PATH services may differ depending where you live in the UK, however, all PATH services are available self funded.
