Psychology and therapy hub (Path)

Who is it for?

For adoptive families at the beginning of their adoption journey (within 12 months of placement).

What does it involve?

  1. Consultations with a psychologist, psychotherapist, or therapeutic practitioner at the beginning and end of your pathway journey.
  2. Individual support for parents from a peer support partner (PSP).
  3. A reflective group for parents facilitated by a psychologist, psychotherapist or therapeutic practitioner and a peer support partner (PSP).

How long does it take?

This is a 6-12 month programme.

How can I access it?

Social worker referrals.

Funding for PATH services may differ depending where you live in the UK, however, all PATH services are available self funded.
