Psychology and therapy hub (Path)

Who is it for?

For kinship carers in Scotland who are looking after a child/children who cannot live with their birth parents.

What does it involve?

  1. Consultations with a psychologist, psychotherapist, or therapeutic practitioner, at the beginning and end of your pathway journey.
  2. Individual support for carers from a peer support partner (PSP).
  3. A reflective group for kinship carers facilitated by a psychologist, psychotherapist or therapeutic practitioner and a peer support partner (PSP).

How long does it take?

This is a 6-12 month programme.

How can I access it?

Self referral or social worker referrals.

Funding for PATH services may differ depending where you live in the UK, however, all PATH services are available self funded.
